2016
The birth of Envest
Envest was founded by Greg Mullins with the backing of private equity, to own and support minority interests in various insurance businesses
2017
The rise of Aviso Group
Insurance brokers, with minority Envest ownership, unite as Aviso Group - a national broker. Three new business acquisitions added.
2018
The start of growth trajectory
Two new business acquisitions, eight investments in existing businesses and three assets divested.
2019
Creating a balanced portfolio
A diversified portfolio with a 20% to 50% shareholding of 25 financial services businesses. New investments include Western Insurance Brokers, Sutton Insurance Brokers, Aviso All Points and Insurtech Gateway.
2020
Strengthening our ownership
Envest partners with institutional investor Macquarie Capital, funding plans to be an integrated insurance distribution business and majority owner in its investments.
2021
Building Envest’s Underwriting Porfolio
Envest reaches majority ownership in five broker businesses, seven agencies and buys majority ownership in Ken Tame, All Parks, Wymark Insurance Brokers, Grange, Aster and St George Underwriting Agency (SGUA).
2022
Solidifying our growth
The Ardonagh Group announces that it will acquire Envest for $482m. Envest purchases North Queensland Insurance Brokers (NQIB) and Australian Risk Applications.
2023
Envest joins the Ardonagh family
Ardonagh completes acquisition of Envest and merges its Australian assets Resilium and Epsilon with The Envest Group.
2024
Becoming one of Australia’s leading insurance distribution platforms
Ardonagh acquires PSC Insurance Group, the largest independent insurance distributor in the region, and merges its ANZ operations with Envest to create one of the country’s leading distribution platforms, placing A$3.3 billion in gross written premium annually. Read more about PSC
